JANUARY 25. UPDATE

* New Reciprocal Links
We have added more links to other web sites, who think, that the IIC is worth a link ! Check and get your free link from the reciprocal links page.

* Glossary updated
Crossposting has been added to the glossary

* How to use IRC updated
We have found a new version of the phoenix ircII script, which should not have any security wholes any more. it is called fphoenix and can be downloaded from the IRC page. There is also information on how to contact the author of the IIC on IRC and we have added some links to other sites providing scripts for various IRC clients.

JANUARY 21. UPDATE

* Fixes
There have been numerous fixes to the entire site. So if you did get a broken link or were unable to download something, please chek again.

* Glossary Update
The following Terms have been added to the glossary: sub-network, VBScript, Applet

* Security Whole in Phoenix.irc
We have learned that there are several versions of phoenix.irc, which have serious security wholes. We recommend to refrain from using this ircII script. We will be researching this problem and post information as soon as it becomes available.

JANUARY 11. UPDATE

* Internet Magazines
Updated the Internet Magazines links.

* Browser Window width
When viewing the Internet Information Center, please make sure, that you see eight buttons in the top frame. If there are less buttons, please widen your browser window, until you see the eight buttons.

* Glossary updated
The IIC's glossary has been updated with the following terms: bridge, spam

* Reciprocal Links
The reciprocal links have been updated with some new links to other sites that have a link to the IIC.

* The largest bookmark
We have begun to add sites to our bookamrk. The intention is to create a rather large bookmark with hundreds of sites for you to surf. See the IIC's bookmark

* Links updated
The links section has bee updated with some links to pages, which are especially designed for women.

DECEMBER 27. UPDATE

* Addressing
The addressing article has been updated to illustrate how IP addresses are organized and assigned.

* Introducing Quick Tips
We are introducing the quick tips, which will be updated with some useful tips and tricks around the internet. This time we will show you how to react on unwanted advertising mail in your mailbox. The quick tips can be found in the more info chapter.

* Netscape Communicator
Netscape's x-mas present this year was the release of the first beta of the new Netscape Communicator. We had a first look at it.

* How to set the time of your computer using the Internet
The Internet offers several services that might not be very well known. An example are time servers which are synchronizing your computer's clock with an atomic clock. How to use time servers.

DECEMBER 23. UPDATE

* New site navigation
Due to suggestions from our visitors, the iic has been modified to provide better navigation. We recommend visiting the first time visitors section, which will outline how to use the new site navigation.

* We celebrate our first birthday.
On December 26th 1995 the Internet Information Center went online. We would like to thank all our visitors for a great 1995 and we hope to see you back healthy in 1997. Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and successful 1997 to all.
